PLEASE, there is nothing I can stress more than getting things in writing. Even send a follow-up email after a meeting to reconfirm things you have discussed. Even if you feel it's small details, even if the person says it's not necessary, even if they say they made a note on your file get a copy for yourself!! Especially if you have just a DOC, this is often our only leg to stand on with a vendor. You can't pull up old emails at your wedding, you can't get out a tape recorder of your meetings, you have to have updated contracts.
I don't mean to mean to sound like your mother and often it's just an over site not malicious intent but it's not worth letting it go now and regretting later in the planning process or heaven forbid on your wedding day.
