Wedding Season is here!!
Whoa Baby! It's getting busy around here...with a wedding this past weekend, April just loaded with weddings, new clients, and Cornbread's 2 Strangers & a Wedding.....I pooped!
So....the blog has suffered and I'm sorry, here is a quick recap.
This past weekend - Congrats to Amy & Bob!!! What a cute couple, they were so obviously in love! The ceremony was great and very personal to them. The reception was gorgeous! Her colors were pink and platinum and they were perfectly used through out the room. Her candy table was TO DIE FOR....matter of fact, I bought all the glassware from her. It was a perfect combination of all the right shapes and sizes for an awesome candy bar. So contact me about rental for your wedding. Congrats Amy and Bob, I wish you nothing but happiness. I'll post pictures as soon as I get them.
Upcoming April Weddings - The final worksheets have finally made it back online. Please let me know if you are having any trouble. Schedule your final meetings for the week of your wedding and complete the worksheets 48 hours or more prior to that appt. Congrats to Katie, Tiffany, Ashley, Kelly, Amanda, Anne, Karen, and Nicole (our April brides)!!
New Clients - We are always excited to have new clients. It brings fresh ideas, faces and inspiration. Thank you Lauren, Michelle, Ashley, Katie, Brandi, Jill, and Laurie for putting your faith in Proposing Dreams and making us a part of your day!
Cornbread's 2 Strangers & a Wedding - I have met Perky, attend several vendor meetings with her, sat in on interviews with the grooms, and attended planning meetings. It's been a wild ride.
First question anyone asks is "Is she cute?", I can't tell you that because love is blind and shouldn't know anything about her looks. So they start to guess, most are wrong or only get a few things right. My MIL nailed it all, every feature! But I can tell you she has all her teeth and doesn't have a third eye or anything.
I have really enjoyed getting to know her and her family. I have had a great time with the WIL and Morning Show staff. I was afraid that I was just another character in this "show". That I wouldn't really have a say but it's not like that. Yes, sales and marketing are taking care of securing the vendors but I take it from there. Sitting in on groom interviews and planning meetings and having them ask me what I think is great! I mean, I know myself and to sit there quietly for too long would probably make my head explode so I'm glad I do get to voice my opinion. Like I told them when they called me to be the wedding planner "I'm not necessarily a control freak, but I'm opinionated from experience".
If you are following along, Cornbread explained all of the drama of the beginning of the week. Basically the two she felt a connection with weren't really ready to get married and it was getting discouraging for her. So he pulled his ace in the hole to complete the options for her. I'm excited, I think they sound great together!! I just love to hear her giggle, she's got a great laugh - wait till you see her smile! Here are some photos from our planning. I can't show your Perky yet but come back later when I do my recap. Special thanks to Edward Crim and his amazing talent.
