For the long time follower of my blog, you know Alisha Clark of www.clarkwalkerstudios.com is a good friend of mine and has been photography my family and staff for a long time! We this year marks this 6th anniversary and our second pregnancy shoot with Alisha. By threatening to showing all my unfavorable shots, I have agreed not so show some of her earliest work as she was learning so we will stick to this years new photos:

He's sweet isn't he, and we don't know what we have coming next boy or girl?

Either way Mason is VERY excited to be a big brother!

It’s an Etsy thing……

While we love all our local vendors and always suggest them first to our clients, sometimes we are not able to find the perfect piece for them. Thus enters Etsy.  As more and more people want to make their weddings unique, many of them are turning to Etsy for those unique items. You can find anything from wedding invitations to hair clips to button bouquets. Anything you want you can find on Etsy and if you can’t find it you can create a post to request someone to make it (this is called alchemy. I plan to do a post just on this topic in the future). If you have that one piece that you feel is missing from your wedding day décor, you really need to check Etsy out.

More and more I am hearing about people wanting to spend money at the local small business with the economy being rough. Etsy even has the option to search for local shops. Some of the vendors will allow free local pick up as well, which is always a bonus.

So take the time to check Etsy out if you have not already because you might find that WOW factor for your wedding there. Schedule next ultrasound after referring to DH's schedule so he can be there

I write this not just to tell you how busy life can get but to show you that making lists can make your planning and day in general much less stressful and ultimately more successful in completing your tasks!!

RSVP Problems...

Oldie but goodie as we approach RSVP season

Ever look at the directions on simple everyday household items? Notice that there are directions to everything – even the use of shampoo! Really do I need to be told to apply, rinse and repeat! Well apparently someone does. That’s why I have written RSVP instructions you can add to your wedding invites to increase the chance of receiving those RSVP’s on time. Please note these insane instructions are on things like hemorrhoid cream and toothpaste for a reason (so no one gets confused about which goes where) and therefore not all recipients will understand their complex nature but here goes:

 

 

RSVP Instructions:

Please follow the directions below when completing a wedding RSVP. Your hosts have even placed a stamp on said RSVP so there is no reason not to complete this task well before the date given to respond!

1)      Remove RSVP from invitation sent to you.

2)      Write your name(s) on line designated for your name. Note: Do NOT place additional names other than those on the previously mentioned invitation.

3)      Check the Will or Will Not Attend box depending on if you will or will not be attending.

4)      Walk your happy butt to the mail box.

5)      Open mailbox.

6)      Place completed RSVP in said mailbox.

7)      Close mailbox.

Congratulations!! You have successfully completed an RSVP!!

A client last fall introduced me to this song and it has been my ring tone ever since (Mason even sings it when my phone rings)! As I'm working on the dj worksheet for a client I dug it up - this is by far my FAVORITE first dance song! It's upbeat, soulful, bluesy, and I just want to close my eyes and hold my hubby tight whenever I hear it.
