We offer pre-designed, though fully customizable announcements and invitations for occasions such as holiday parties, birthdays, weddings and much, much more on our online store.
However, the thing that truly makes Paper Frosting unique from all other paperie providers is our ability to provide custom, hand-made invitations designed to your exact specifications upon request. Owner and lead designer Melinda Kreikemeier has been designing custom invitations for a long time and has mastered the ability to create beautiful, hand-made invitations and announcements for any occasion. WDS: What types of printing processes do you offer and which do you specialize in?
At this time, we only offer flat printing. We use top of the line laser printers which also allows us to print on metallic papers as well.
WDS: Is your printing done in-house or do you outsource the printing?
In house, if the client would prefer to do the printing elsewhere, we can make arrangements for them to be able to do so.
WDS: What is a good per invite budget range?
What is great about paper frosting is that we can create to any budget. This is one of the main questions that we ask when we are in a client consultation because we want to make sure that the client is completely comfortable on the amount that they are spending. We don’t want to create something that the client loves and then come to find out…it is out of their budget. Our custom designs range from $2.50 all the way up to approx. $10 per invite. We have several ways to help the client get exactly what they want and can offer many suggestions that will help them stay within their budget.
WDS: They will have an opportunity to sign off on their invitation proof before you send the order to print, right?
Absolutely, they will receive an e-mailed proof of the wording which they will have to initial, date and then send back to me. Also, if vendor minimums allow…they will be able to see an actual mock-up invitation in all of the materials that they have decided to use for their design.
WDS: Do you offer an invitation addressing service? If so, what is the charge for this? What lettering style options are available? Will the lettering push back my delivery date?
Yes we do offer these services. Our most popular is hand calligraphy which is $1.50 per invitation. We can also do flat printing or labels but price varies depending on what they decide they would like. Various lettering styles are offered and calligraphy samples are available so they can pick which font they would like as well. Delivery date depends greatly on when the client turns over their address list to us. They will be given a deadline to turn over their list to ensure that there is enough time to meet the final ship date. If the client is late on turning over this list to us then yes it could affect the date of final shipping.
