CJ’s Disc Jockey Service began as a small family business which has developed into a well known and well respected company within the wedding industry. CJ’s Disc Jockey Service has provided entertainment at venues ranging from small restaurants to some of the most prestigious establishments throughout the bi-state area. CJ’s Disc Jockey Service is known for their versatility and vast experience at catering to various venues and crowds as well as understanding the traditions and specific needs of their clients.
In 1993, Chris Johnson got his official start in the entertainment industry, when a friend had approached him in need of a DJ / MC for an upcoming wedding. Having worked as a DJ/MC in other applications, Chris took on the task. After a successful and fulfilling experience, CJ’s Disc Jockey Service was established and the rest is history.

WDS: Do you have a music list online or via email? Will you get an uncommon or new song that isn’t in your library (given enough notice)?
We have a music database that is available for viewing on our website. Our clients can submit a “Request List” for their reception through our Online Planning System. We ask each client to give us a list of their “Must Plays” and their “Must NOT Plays” and we ask for favorite artists and genres as well. This will give us guidelines to follow when playing music at the reception. If an uncommon song is requested we will make every effort to obtain it prior to the reception.
WDS: Do you have a questionnaire for your clients for the day of? Will you fax or email us a copy, please?
We have a “Wedding Planning Form” that we ask every client to complete and submit 4 weeks prior to the event date. This allows us ample time to meet with the Bride & Groom personally to review and finalize the details of their reception.
WDS: Describe your style:
Our style depends on the style of the bride & groom. Our priority is to provide a Personal and Custom experience. Every client is different, so every event is different. Through one-on-one pre-planning consultations we create and event that is unique to each client.
